Cleanrooms

What is a cleanroom?

A cleanroom is a controlled environment or group of rooms
in which the concentration of airborne particles and other
environmental parameters are maintained within specified limits.

The purpose of a cleanroom is to provide a stable and controlled
environment for manufacturing or technological processes.
Depending on the requirements, not only air cleanliness but also
temperature, humidity, pressure differences and air change rates
may be controlled.

A properly functioning cleanroom is therefore not based on a single
piece of equipment or one architectural solution. The room envelope,
walls, ceilings, doors and pass boxes, together with the HVAC and
air handling systems, operate as one coordinated system.

Cleanrooms are required in a wide range of industries, including
pharmaceuticals, healthcare, electronics and semiconductor
manufacturing, the food industry, as well as various industrial
and research applications.

The required cleanliness level is always determined by the
specific technology and process requirements.

Cleanliness classes

Cleanroom design is always based on the technology and the required
environmental conditions. The appropriate cleanliness class is
therefore selected according to the process and operational
requirements.

ISO 5

For applications requiring a very high level of air cleanliness.

ISO 6

For high-cleanliness controlled environments.

ISO 7

A common cleanliness level for many industrial and technological
cleanroom applications.

ISO 8

For industrial applications requiring a controlled environment.

Cleanroom wall systems

Cleanroom wall systems are one of the fundamental architectural
elements of a controlled environment. They define the room boundaries,
support cleanability and airtightness, and allow mechanical and
electrical systems to be integrated into the cleanroom structure.

Our modular wall systems are adapted to the requirements of each
project, taking into account cleanability, surface finish, airtightness,
mechanical and electrical connections and long-term operation.

The system may include:

  • mineral wool insulated sandwich-panel cleanroom walls,
  • gypsum-board reinforced wall cladding systems,
  • panel joints and connection details,
  • wall-to-ceiling and wall-to-floor connections,
  • integrated windows and other built-in elements,
  • integration of displays, pressure gauges and mechanical components,
  • additional structural reinforcement and custom solutions where required.

Cleanroom wall cladding

Wall cladding panels, connection details and customized
structural solutions adapted to the requirements of the project.

Cleanroom ceiling systems

Cleanroom ceiling systems can be adapted not only to the architectural
requirements of the rooms but also to the needs of technical spaces
and maintenance access.

Non-walkable cleanroom ceiling

Lightweight modular cleanroom ceiling system for a wide range
of technological and mechanical configurations.

Walkable cleanroom ceiling

High-load walkable cleanroom ceiling system designed for
technical spaces and maintenance access above the cleanroom.

Cleanroom doors

Airtightness, easy cleaning and reliable long-term operation are
key considerations in the design of cleanroom doors.

Depending on traffic and process requirements, single-leaf,
double-leaf and sliding door solutions can be provided.

Cleanroom door systems

Single-leaf, double-leaf and sliding doors for different
cleanroom applications, adapted to the room layout and
process requirements.

Pass boxes

Cleanroom pass boxes enable controlled material transfer between
rooms of different cleanliness levels without requiring personnel
movement or unnecessarily disturbing the controlled environment.

Their design can be adapted to the technological process, available
space and cleanroom requirements.

Cleanroom pass boxes

Pass boxes in different sizes and configurations designed
according to technological processes and cleanroom requirements.

Air shower

An air shower is used to remove particles from the clothing of
personnel before entering a cleanroom.

It can be installed as an airlock between cleanroom areas where
personnel move from a lower cleanliness class to a higher cleanliness
class. It may also be used where it is important to prevent hazardous
materials from being carried out of a controlled area.

The air shower doors are glazed and electrically interlocked to prevent
accidental opening during operation. The cleaning cycle starts
automatically after entry.

High-velocity recirculated air passing through HEPA filtration removes
particles from the person inside the chamber.

Cleanroom air shower

The air shower provides a controlled transition before entry
into the cleanroom and can also help prevent contamination
from leaving a controlled area.

Integrated cleanroom solutions

The cleanroom and its HVAC systems form one integrated system.

We approach cleanroom architecture and mechanical systems as
one coordinated solution to ensure that the completed facility
operates reliably and meets the technological requirements.
